Who We Are

Insight on Esports, Inc., doing business as Last Free Nation (“LFN”) operates lastfreenation.com, an independent, talent-owned podcast network covering esports, television, film, and gaming. Questions about this policy or your data: premium@lastfreenation.com.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in or subscribe to LFN Premium, our membership provider Memberful creates an account with your name and email address, which is synced to our site so we can recognize you as a member.

Payment information. Subscription payments are processed by Memberful and its payment processor, Stripe. Your card details are transmitted directly to them and are never stored on, or visible to, our servers.

Newsletter email. If you sign up for our newsletter, your email address is sent to beehiiv, our newsletter platform, which manages delivery, confirmation, and unsubscribes.

Show attribution. When you subscribe to LFN Premium you may select the show that brought you here. We store that choice with your account and use it to fairly distribute subscription revenue to our hosts.

Private podcast feed tokens. Members receive personal, ad-free podcast feed URLs. We store the token that makes your feed private to you.

Technical data. Like nearly all websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and operations. Video content is delivered through content delivery networks that see your IP address in order to send you the video.

How We Use Information

We use this information to: provide and gate LFN Premium membership; deliver private podcast feeds and member video; send the newsletter you signed up for; distribute subscription revenue to hosts based on show attribution; respond to support and refund requests; and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this site.

  • Memberful (membership, sign-in, billing) and Stripe (payment processing)
  • beehiiv (newsletter delivery)
  • Bunny.net (member video delivery)
  • YouTube (embedded videos, served in privacy-enhanced mode)
  • Our hosting provider (server infrastructure and logs)

Each processes data on our behalf under their own privacy terms. Some are located in the United States; by using the site you understand your data may be processed there.

YouTube API Services (LFN Publisher)

Insight on Esports, Inc., doing business as Last Free Nation (“LFN”), operates LFN Publisher, an internal tool that uses YouTube API Services to publish LFN’s own episodes to LFN’s own YouTube channels and to report on those channels’ performance. LFN Publisher is used only by LFN staff and is not offered to the public.

By using LFN Publisher, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms. Google’s Privacy Policy applies to data processed through YouTube API Services: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

What we access. When the owner of an LFN YouTube channel authorizes LFN Publisher through Google’s sign-in, we receive an access token for that channel. We use it to upload videos and set their titles, descriptions, thumbnails and playlists, and to read statistics for LFN’s own channels and videos: views, watch time, subscribers, impressions and click-through rate, through the YouTube Data API, YouTube Analytics API and YouTube Reporting API.

What we store. The authorization token, kept in our hosting provider’s encrypted secret store, and the statistics above, kept in LFN’s internal Google Drive and Google Sheets for editorial and business reporting. We do not collect personal information about YouTube viewers. We do not sell, rent or share data obtained through YouTube API Services with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it. Statistics are refreshed daily while the channel’s authorization is in place. If authorization is revoked, we delete the token immediately and delete the statistics we stored for that channel within 7 days.

Revoking access. A channel owner can revoke LFN Publisher’s access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. To have stored data deleted, email premium@lastfreenation.com.

How Long We Keep Data

Account and attribution data is kept while your membership or account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for accounting purposes. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs rotate automatically.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK under GDPR and California under the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email premium@lastfreenation.com and we will respond within the timeframe required by law. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the effective date above.
